Gpupdate not updating folder redirection Hook up no signup

The folder redirection policy works fine on Windows 7.I have: Tried forcing gpupdate Ran a gpresult but does not show anything about the group policy for folder redirection Update the Group policy files within sysvol There is no WMI filter The users are allowed to read the GPO Rolling back the build that the user was on to an earlier version If i get one of the affected users to login to another computer (Win10) that works with folder redirection the computer applies it but on their own pc the computer with Win10 it can not see the Group policy.Looking for even a temporary fix, I planned to change the 'target' from the My Documents properties window but it's stuck to the old server.Any clues as to why the new settings aren't getting used? The biggest lesson so far deals with Folder Redirection, and the effects of repeated adjustments to the GPO settings.

This (and only this) GPO has security filtering for the "power users" User Group, and contains only User Settings. All of the User settings apply nicely in the order they are supposed to.However, the Computer Settings are only being applied from the Default Domain Policy as reported by gpresult. When I run gpupdate, the User Settings are applied successfully, but I get an error when it tries to update Computer Settings. The following errors were encountered: The processing of Group Policy failed.Windows could not obtain the name of a domain controller. Verify your Domain Name System (DNS) is configured and working correctly. What DNS errors would cause User Settings to be applied but Computer Settings to not be?And how come Default Domain Policy GPO is not experiencing these problems?
