Backup exec job status says updating Sex chat register
I have restarted the server and the autoloader and still have this issue.
I have run Live Update and currently have all the updates.
This also applies to existing users who install the Desktop Agent on another desktop. See Moving Desktop Agent users to a new network user data folder.
The new installation uses the existing user settings and stores data in the user’s existing user data folder. A desktop user ran the Desktop Agent and received an error indicating “Unable to configure the Desktop Agent.
Alternately, if you would like to use existing network shares as network user data folders, or if you want to create network user data folders manually, then do not use Storage Locations. I’m trying to create a Storage Location on a remote file server, and I am receiving an error indicating the MSDE Database Instance for the Desktop and Laptop Option needs to have access to the remote file server. To create Storage Locations on a remote file server, you must use an account that has administrative rights on the remote file server.
You can change the account credentials that were used to create the Storage Location. DLO does not retroactively apply changes to encryption and compression settings to user data that is already backed up.
Leave that for those scenarios where that’s the only option you have left.
Automated User Assignments are only used once to assign a profile and Storage Location to a new Desktop Agent user.
Conclusion: there is no need to dive in and start merging the lingering backup checkpoints manually.
Backup Exec was running just fine, but now it will not run a backup job, it only goes into Queued Status and never completes the job.
I have installed all necessary updates from Symantec, rebooted the server and have created a Test job but cannot get any backup jobs to run.
I am backing-up to a Dell RD1000 using Backup Exec 2010 R3 with SP2 installed and the backup job is configured to backup to a “Removable Backup-to-Disk Folder” on a Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server.
Try creating a test backup job that will backup a small folder to an area on your server.
